TRACKING CHANGES TO AVERAGED VALUES OF GLYCEMIA IN DIABETICS Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2640172 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method revealed through computer to ensure real-time evaluation of the level of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in a patient, based on the result of self-monitoring of blood glucose level (SMBG), is disclosed. Said method includes: receipt of SMBG measurements on an empty stomach of the specified patient; calculation of the value of glycated hemoglobin using SMBG measurements on an empty stomach in a previously defined glycation equation on the basis of an assessment of HbA1c in real time the level, on the assumption of measurement data of fasting glucose test level, updated through any new incoming data measuring the level of fasting SMBG; derivation of value of glycated hemoglobin as the initial HbA1c level assessment; clarification of glycated hemoglobin values by using a refined value of SMBG in the specified glycation equation; calculation of the adjusted assessment level of HbA1c using the initial HbA1c level assessment and refined value of glycosylated hemoglobin values in a pre-given equation for assessing the level of HbA1c based on initialization and calibration of HbA1c calculation level curve using received SMBG profiles during the day, using factorial models, which reduces the variability of BG level during the day to two latent factors; and withdrawal of specified refined assessment of the level of HbA1c to user. Also, a system for providing real-time evaluation of the patient's HbA1c level and a non-volatile computer-readable medium are disclosed.

EFFECT: accurate assessment of the level of HbA1c.
