FIELD: chemical-pharmaceutical industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a preparation based on sodium alginate and N-vinylpyrrolidone enriched with active iodine. Method of producing a preparation based on sodium alginate and N-vinylpyrrolidone enriched with active iodine, involving dissolving iodine in a solution of potassium iodide in sterile water for injections, followed by adding a polysaccharide, characterized in that 5–6 g of iodine is dissolved in 30 g of 10 wt.% potassium iodide solution prepared on sterile water for injections, followed by adding 2–3 g with constant stirring at rate of 250 rpm to obtain a viscous solution, and to obtain gel—4–5 g of a graft copolymer of sodium alginate with a ratio of residues of β-D-mannuronic (M-units) and α-L-guluronic (G-units) acids M-units/G-units=1.56 and viscosity of 1 wt.% aqueous solution at 25 °C, equal to 4–12 cps, and N-vinylpyrrolidone, with content in the copolymer of graft chains of N-vinylpyrrolidone with a molecular weight of 9–10 kDa, equal to 9–10 wt.%; after which the obtained preparation is made with sterile water for injections to 50 g; filtered through a sterile nylon membrane with pore diameter of 45 mcm.

EFFECT: said invention enables to create a preparation based on a graft copolymer of sodium alginate and N-vinylpyrrolidone, containing active iodine in amount of 10–12 wt.% and having wound healing properties.
