FIELD: performing operations.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrochemical methods of recycling vanadium catalyst wastes obtained during production of sulphuric acid from sulphur combustion gases, from waste gases of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy. Processing of spent vanadium catalyst involves leaching with water vapour or an azeotropic mixture of water and sulphuric acid with volume ratio of water: sulphuric acid with concentration of 10-50 wt.% and temperature of 100-150 °C, with subsequent condensation of vapours of vanadium acids in aqueous solutions of sulphuric acid of 10-50 wt.% concentration.
EFFECT: method increases efficiency of the process and simplifies the hardware scheme of the process.
