FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. A continuous circular capsulorhexis is formed in swelling cataract; paracentesis of 1.2 mm and a main incision of 2.2 mm are formed. High-molecular weight viscoelastic is introduced into the anterior chamber, the anterior chamber is punctured with simultaneous aspiration of a portion of lens masses, and capsulorhexis is performed. After the high-molecular weight viscoelastic is introduced into the anterior chamber, the anterior capsule is dyed; simultaneously with the staining, the entire cannula surface is compressed with fan-like movements along its surface. Then high-molecular weight viscoelastic is reintroduced, with the help of endocoagulator by application of single applications, a circular platform is formed on the surface of the anterior capsule, and then in the centre of this platform a primary puncture is formed, liquid lens masses are aspirated by means of a Simcoe cannula. Further, continuous circular capsulorhexis is performed. In a particular case, a circular platform on the surface of the anterior capsule is formed with size of 1.5-2 mm.

EFFECT: method enables higher safety of the operation, as well as reducing the risk of radialisation by providing a stable visual control in the formation of a continuous circular capsulorhexis.
