SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of providing targeted electronic advertisements on an aircraft. Disclosed method involves: establishing, on a server on-board the aircraft, a connection with a client device on-board the aircraft; receiving user profile information associated with the user of the client device and based in part on the activity of the user in the electronic space while on board the aircraft; creation, on board the aircraft, user profile associated with the user of the client device, based on the received user profile information associated with the user, wherein the user profile includes information on the route with the destination of the user, and the user profile is created on board the aircraft during flight; selecting, on the server, a target electronic advertisement based in part on the destination of the user obtained from the user profile, wherein the target electronic advertisement is selected from the electronic advertisement data store; and sending the target electronic advertisement to the client device for display using the graphical user interface on the client device.
EFFECT: systems and methods for delivering targeted advertisements on board mobile platforms are disclosed.
