FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: neutron capture therapy system and target material for the particle beam generating device, which can be used to improve heat dissipation characteristics of the target material, thereby reducing foaming phenomena and prolonging the service life of the target material. Neutron capture therapy system comprises a neutron generation device and a beam forming unit, wherein the neutron generation device comprises an accelerator and a target material, beam of charged particles generated by acceleration interacts with target material to generate neutron beam. Target material comprises an active layer, an anti-foaming layer, a heat-dissipating layer and a heat-conducting layer, wherein the active layer interacts with the beam of charged particles to generate a neutron beam; anti-foaming layer inhibits foaming caused by a beam of charged particles; and the heat dissipating layer directly and quickly conducts heat released in the active layer to the heat-conducting layer and removes the heat conducted to the heat-conducting layer using the cooling medium.
EFFECT: use of this invention will make it possible to increase the service life of the target.
