The neutron beam shaping system for the neutron capture therapy system contains: a beam shaping unit containing a beam inlet, a receiving cavity, a moderator adjacent to the end of the receiving cavity, a reflector surrounding the moderator, a radiation shield located in the beam forming unit, and a beam exit, when the moderator is configured to slow down the neutrons generated from the target into the region of epithermal neutron energy, and the reflector is configured to direct the deflected neutrons back to the moderator to increase the intensity of the epithermal neutron beam, while the radiation shield is configured to screen the escaping neutrons and photons to reduce the dose on healthy tissue in a non-irradiated area; a vacuum tube located in the receiving cavity; a target located at the end of the vacuum tube, the target being configured to enter into a nuclear reaction with a charged particle beam entering through the beam inlet to generate neutrons forming a neutron beam, wherein the neutron beam is emitted from the beam exit and defines the axis of the neutron beam; at least one cooling device located in the beam forming unit, the cooling device being configured to cool the target; and at least one receiving conduit located in the beam forming unit for receiving the cooling device; a filler is placed between the cooling device and the inner wall of the receiving pipeline.

EFFECT: use of a group of inventions will allow minimizing radiation leakage.
