FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. A donor scleral flap of irregular shape is formed in block excision of uveal melanoma with transscleral growth. Under the control of a surgical microscope, the first stage is used to determine and mark on the sclera borders of melanoma with trans-scleral growth during transillumination. Then, 2 mm from the marked boundaries, the boundaries of the surgical resection are marked, along which a template of a deformable wire is formed. Further, the wire template is applied to the donor sclera, and its borders are marked, and a shaped donor scleral flap is cut out, which is subsequently sutured congruently to the site of the removed tumour.

EFFECT: method enables to form a template corresponding to any irregular shape of the proposed scleral resection line.
