SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of making an aluminium tube. Method of making a collapsible or compressible aluminium tube includes steps for obtaining a workpiece from an aluminium alloy and impact moulding of the workpiece to form an aluminium tube having an arm and a neck. At that, a workpiece is obtained, consisting of, wt.%: more than 98.4 of Al, from 0.10 to 0.30 of Si, from 0.25 to 0.45 of Fe, from 0.01 to 0.08 of Cu, from 0.15 to 0.40 of Mn, not more than 0.15 of Mg, not more than 0.05 of Zn, not more than 0.05 of Cr, not more than 0.05 of Ni, not more than 0.05 of Ti and not more than 0.05 impurities, provided that said ingredients of the aluminium alloy are 100 wt.%.

EFFECT: tube with reduced shoulder thickness is provided.
