SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to X-ray endovascular diagnosis and treatment of oncology. Diagnostic angiography with flat-detector computed tomography is performed and blood supply sources of spinal segments are determined. An arterial approach is made and a diagnostic catheter is inserted. Selective angiography of the segmental artery is performed in a direct projection using a field of vision of not less than 30 cm and a frame rate of X-ray imaging of not less than 5 frames/s. After obtaining angiograms at all required levels, arteries involved in blood supply to the focus are identified. Superselective catheterization of the feeding branches and delivery of embolizing agents to the region of interest is performed by means of a microcatheter delivered to the embolisation site with a diagnostic catheter and placed from the centre at a distance of up to 1 cm. Embolisation is carried out with at least one embolising agent at the level of the lesion or at the level of the lesion and one level above and/or below the level of the lesion.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase efficiency of spinal artery embolization in case of vertebral tumour lesions, to reduce risk of complications, provide tight embolisation with achieving maximum occlusion of target arteries, provides reduced intraoperative blood loss, as well as reduced level or complete relief of neurological symptoms in spinal tumour lesions.
