METHOD OF SEPARATING OIL-WATER EMULSION AND DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC C02F1/40 B01D24/46

Abstract RU 2834560 C1

FIELD: separation.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to separation of emulsions by filtration, in particular, to purification of water from oil and oil products and organic substances. It can be used in oil producing, oil processing, chemical, petrochemical, food, machine building and other industries. Method of separation with application of device includes injection of emulsion under pressure through upper distributor of flow into container of closed type with filtering granular material, which is not wetted for disperse phase. Purified water is discharged through lower flow distributors. Released oil and/or oil products are taken through the upper removal nozzle. Filtration granulated material is regenerated by backwashing. Vessel is equipped with several sections separated by vertical partitions. Each section is equipped with lower flow distributors for removal of purified water and filled with filtering granular material with the same height. Outlets of lower flow distributors are combined by means of piping for delivery to the consumer. For regeneration of filter granulated material supply of water-oil emulsion through upper flow distributor is stopped and redirected for successive flushing for each section in reverse direction at rate allowing to create fluidization mode. Disperse phase separated from filtering granulated material in enlarged film form and floating in upper part of reservoir above upper flow distributor is discharged from reservoir through upper nozzle for removal of trapped oil and/or oil products. Then water without disperse phase from regenerated section without interruption of process is filtered in direction from top to bottom through remaining sections and removed from device through corresponding lower flow distributors. Similarly to the first section, filter granulated material is washed successively in the remaining sections. Then, feed of initial water-oil emulsion is resumed via upper flow distributor.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and process reliability, as well as quality of water treatment from oil and oil products and organic substances with different gas content, water content and physical and chemical properties, simplification of process of maintenance and maintenance of technological mode, simplification of constructive manufacturing of device.
