FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to interventional radiology, oncology, cardiology, and can be used for biopsy in patients with cardiac tumour. Cardiac chambers are catheterised, and a diagnostic direct cavography or ventriculography is performed, followed by a flat-detector computed tomography (FDCT) for positioning working introducer 7F and its distal portion relative to the cardiac tumour. Target biopsy is performed from the tumour area under simultaneous X-ray and FDCT control. Position of the biopsy instrument is confirmed by the results of the repeated FDCT at the time of sampling the material for morphological examination.

EFFECT: method is safe, enables biopsy under local anaesthesia in X-ray operating room conditions, is less traumatic, provides good visualization, which in turn enables to obtain the required amount of biopsy material.
