FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to a walking device in an external fixation apparatus. Device comprises a frame made in the form of connected large and small arcs and a base made in the form of a plate with toe and heel parts and fixed by means of a welded joint to the frame with the heel part to the large arc, and with the toe part at the level of ½ of the toe part – to the small arc. Base is designed to follow the shape of the rolling sole of the shoes for patients with diabetic foot syndrome, with the possibility of providing the rolling line by lifting the heel portion at angle of 23 degrees and the toe portion at angle of 13 degrees. Rolling line makes 54% of the length of the base plate, and the ends of the large arc are connected by a small arc at the level of ½ of the toe part of the base. Three fixation rods with a distal base of the external fixation apparatus are mounted on the frame by means of threaded connections. Two rods are equipped with adjusting mechanisms, large arc is made U-shaped, and small arc is made closing large arc.

EFFECT: providing mobility of the patient when walking in an external fixation apparatus by performing a physiological foot roll when walking and reducing the load on the fixing elements of the apparatus in the postoperative period in the patients with Charcot's arthropathy.
