FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, namely to a new strain of microalgae Parachlorella sp. Nanno 1, deposited in the Collection of Microalgae of IPP RAS under the number IPPAS C-2073 – a producer of carotenoids, especially lutein. Produced substances can be used in biologically active additives and food additives for humans, as well as in various fodder additives, primarily for aquaculture. New strain has the ability to accumulate a high level of carotenoids with predominant accumulation of lutein, which is about 2/3, wherein the biomass of the strain has good organoleptic properties.
EFFECT: strain has a high growth rate with fast pigment accumulation, as well as a simple culture protocol with easy scaling.
