SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and relates to a strain of microalgae Coelastrella sp. K1. Strain is deposited in the collection of the Institute of Plant Physiology of K. A. Timiryazev RAS under registration number IPPAS C-2028. Strain of microalgae Coelastrella sp. IPPAS C-2028 is characterized by high level of simultaneous accumulation of astaxanthin and β-carotene (not less than 45 wt % of each component) and is intended for simultaneous preparation of astaxanthin and β-carotene.
EFFECT: disclosed is a producer of a mixture of natural bioantioxidant astaxanthin and β-carotene.
