FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, in particular to a method for producing a fragment of native retinal pigment epithelium in the form of a universal and standardized sample for further study of retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) of the eye of an adult donor-corpse. Method involves complete removal of the sclera from the choroid by dissecting the sclera from the limb to the optic nerve into 4 parts. Each part of the sclera is alternately bent and twisted on a "mosquito" clamp, and from the side of the suprachoroidal space, the vortex veins and the optic nerve are accurately dissected away, after which the sclera is completely excised. Further, using straight blunt ophthalmic scissors, three sections of the CPC are made from the optic nerve outlet in the direction of the cornea, then branches of scissors should be turned through 90 degrees and cut CPC along the whole circumference. Then two anatomic forceps are used to capture the CPC and separate it from the neural retina, then to lay on the eyelet with the pigment epithelium downwards. Then on the CPC and the eyelet it is necessary to put a fixing ring for fixing the tissue, after which the eyelet is placed into the screw plastic cover with its base down.
EFFECT: invention can be used to produce a culture of RPE cells of an adult corpse donor, in which the degree of contamination with retinal fragments and the contents of the vitreous cavity is reduced.
