METHOD FOR EXTRACTION OF FIBRE POST IN REPEATED ENDODONTIC TREATMENT BY MEANS OF ULTRASOUND Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC A61C5/35

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to therapeutic dentistry. Dental microscope is used to remove the filling material around the fibre post in the crown part of the tooth with a diamond bur, and the fibre post is cut off to a root canal orifice. Tooth cavity is dried. Ultrasonic tip Start-X 3 Dentsply Sirona is placed in the centre of the cut of the circumference of the fibre post, connected to the Baolai Medical Ultrasonic p7L apparatus; in the scaler mode of power 4, the ultrasonic effect is applied on the fibre post for 2-3 seconds. Then ultrasonic action is performed on the fibre post for 2-3 seconds with constant supply of water from Start-X 3 tip into the tooth cavity under pressure. Using a paper point, the working area and the remainder of the fibre post in the root canal are dried until complete removal of moisture and clear visualization of the fibre post. Further, the described cycles of ultrasonic action on the fibre post are successively repeated: action on fibre post without water for 2-3 seconds – action on fibre post with constant supply of water into tooth cavity under pressure for 2-3 seconds – drying the working zone and the fibre post residue in the root canal. Cycles are repeated until complete removal of fibre post from root canal and visualization of filling material in root canal. After the fibre post is removed, a standard protocol of repeated endodontic treatment is performed.

EFFECT: due to absence of overheating of tooth tissues and surrounding root tissues and use of thin tip at high power, the method provides fast removal of fibre post and prevents injuries of periodontal tissues.
