FIELD: weapons.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to combat preparing of artillery weapons. Assessment of artillery gun barrels classification is carried out in stages, wherein at stage 1, type of artillery piece is determined, at 2nd stage, the barrel bore is cleaned, at 3rd stage, the outer and inner surfaces of the barrel are inspected, wherein the outer surface of the barrel is visually inspected, and measurement of dimensions of damages is carried out using a ruler or vernier caliper, wherein the inspection of the inner surface of the barrel bore is carried out using a high-resolution video camera with an extended dynamic range and a lens to obtain a panoramic image of the device for assessing wear and measuring parameters and inspecting the bore (DMPIB), at 4th stage, the barrel bore cylindrical part wear is measured using the DMPIB device rotating laser scanner in automatic mode, at 5th stage, the charging chamber elongation is measured for rifled barrels or the barrel bore wear is measured in the control section for smooth barrels, at 6th stage, the value of the initial velocity of the projectile caused by the wear of the barrel bore is calculated, at 7th stage, the compliance with the established standards is assessed and the classification is carried out based on the comparison of the data obtained at stages 3-6, the technical state of the artillery piece is established, a decision is made on its further operation or the organization of the corresponding type of repair, at 8th stage, a protocol is formed, which contains all measured parameters and certain values, as well as the category of the shaft determined based on the results of operation and recommendations on the possibility of its further operation. DMPIB consists of: a housing of a measuring probe with a video monitoring unit, which includes a high-resolution video camera with an extended dynamic range and a lens for obtaining a panoramic image, and a backlight system in the front end part, a rotating laser scanner on the side surface of the housing, a laser range finder in the rear end part of the housing, two laser sensors on the side part of the housing for measuring the diameter and profile of the barrel bore, protective pads, replaceable and spring-loaded supports, with a connector for communication cable.
EFFECT: automation of evaluation of current ballistic characteristics and determination of category of artillery gun barrel, possibility of making an objective decision on its further operation or repair.
