FIELD: acoustic measurements; hydroacoustics.

SUBSTANCE: in the method of calibrating reversible electroacoustic transducers of the antennae of the correlation current velocity meter in comparison with the prototype, the values of discrete frequencies are limited; setting the piezoelectric element excitation mode of the directional EAT at two frequencies simultaneously, wherein during the calibration process the frequency difference is changed from the maximum to the minimum; electric signal with frequencies (ƒn, ƒ1) is supplied to directional radiating EAT, piezoelectric element of which with specified resonance frequency (ƒn1)/2 = ƒ0 and aperture ɑ emit oscillates in one-sided radiation mode; creating a biharmonic ultrasound field in an aqueous medium of a hydroacoustic basin and ultrasonic field of low-frequency spectral component of difference frequency Fn,1 = ƒn−1; measuring the voltage amplitudes of electrical signals taken from the outputs of the reference and calibrated EAT, respectively; calculating the sound pressure sensitivity in the receiving mode for the calibrated EAT; repeatedly performing said actions of the method for the following pairs of frequencies in turn to obtain a frequency dependence of the sensitivity of the calibrated EAT by sound pressure in the receiving mode; measurement results are displayed and recorded.

EFFECT: expansion of operational capabilities of the calibration method and provision of noise immunity of measurements.
