FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a non-destructive method of measuring adhesion and is intended for investigating the adhesion properties of the surface of materials. Disclosed is a non-destructive method of determining the adhesion index of a material both on its entire surface and at each point of the investigated region by tearing off the adhesive tape previously glued to the surface at a constant speed v at angle of 90 degrees. Adhesion factor is taken as force of separation Fa. To implement the proposed method, an adhesive tape is applied on the surface of the analysed sample and smoothed with a squeegee with a felt blade with a small force. To ensure uniform pressing, the sample with the glued tape is placed under the support plates of the press equipped with a pressure meter. Prepared sample is placed in the holder and the free end of the tape is fixed in the force measuring device. Adhesive tape is detached from the surface of the sample at a constant rate, fixing the force F at regular intervals until the tape is completely detached from the surface of the sample. Based on the test results, the dependence of separation force versus time t is plotted. Averaged adhesion index is the value of the force of strip separation from the surface, which corresponds to the fact that the dependence F=f(t) reaches a plateau.

EFFECT: possibility to determine adhesion index in each area of sample along glued tape.
