SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry and biotechnology. Disclosed is a method for chemical-enzymatic production of cladribine and its purification from recombinant enzyme impurities. Cladribine is obtained by enzymatic transglycosylation of 2-chloro-6-azidopurine with successive two-step conversion of the azido group, which enables to extract the target product by extraction from the aqueous phase.

EFFECT: invention provides an enzymatic reaction in a homogeneous medium and a high degree of purification of the end product from impurities of the recombinant enzyme.
