SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 6-benzyloxycarbonyl-5-methyl-7-(het)aryl-4,7-dihydroazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines of general formula A, where R is an aryl selected from optionally substituted phenyl, or heteryl selected from thienyl, pyridine, indolyl, thiazolyl, wherein the substituted phenyl has 1-3 substitutes selected from the group consisting of ethyl, halogen or nitro group; X is CH or N. Method involves heating equimolar amounts of the corresponding aryl- or heterylaldehyde, benzylacetoacetate and aminoazole in water.

EFFECT: simple and effective method of producing 6-benzyloxycarbonyl-5-methyl-7-(het)aryl-4,7-dihydroazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines.
