FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ophthalmology aims at treating the patients with open-angle glaucoma by laser exposure on a trabecular reticulum (TR). The laser exposure is preceded by a gonioscopy study to determine a position of a Schlemm's canal and a type of iris to ciliary body attachment, and if observing simultaneously a posterior position of the Schlemm's canal and a posterior type of iris to ciliary body attachment, Nd-YAG laser pulses of duration 3 ns, wave length 532 nm, spot diameter 400 mcm and laser pulse power 0.3-1.0 mJ are applied on an anterior border of the Schlemm's canal.
EFFECT: method provides higher effectiveness of laser exposure on the TR by reducing a number of hypertensive and/or inflammatory complications following laser exposure on the TR.
