FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices of induction heaters and can be used in various technological processes for heating of walls of various vessels made of ferromagnetic materials, such as chemical reactors, tanks, cisterns, pipelines. Heater for induction heating of vessel wall made of ferromagnetic material comprises frame and inductor containing induction winding and magnetic core. Magnetic conductor is U-shaped and thus has a middle part and two side parts, each of which ends with a pole end. Magnetic conductor is rigidly fixed on the frame. Induction winding is fixed on the magnetic conductor in such a way that the induction winding encloses the magnetic conductor. Heater is made with possibility of its installation in position when pole ends of magnetic conductor face and approach to surface of heated wall. In this position of the heater, there is a gap between each pole end and the heated wall; at that, the surface of each pole end has at least one common normal with the surface of the heated wall.
EFFECT: increased rigidity and stability of the heater design as a whole, increased service life of the heater, possibility to heat the vessel wall with curvature of different degree.
