SUBSTANCE: disclosed is milk powder, having a solid form, obtained by moulding dry milk, wherein the ratio of the specific surface area to the volume of milk powder is set so that the average value A from the surface of the milk powder to depth of 2 mm is greater than 0.353 and less than 0.391, and the average value C from depth of 4 mm from the surface of milk powder to depth of 6 mm was greater than 0.390 and less than 0.444 and was greater than the average value A. Disclosed is a moulded mass of dry milk having a solid shape obtained by compression moulding of milk powder, wherein the ratio of the specific surface area to the volume of the moulded mass of dry milk is set so that the average value A from the surface of the moulded mass of dry milk to depth of 2 mm is greater than 0.406 and less than 0.420, and the average value C from depth of 4 mm from the surface of the moulded mass of dry milk to depth of 6 mm was greater than 0.414 and less than 0.434 and was greater than the average value A.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a product with high production efficiency with simultaneous increase in hardness to ensure resistance to destruction during transportation.
