FIELD: hydroacoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in hydroacoustics, namely in devices for preliminary processing of information of signals from a cylindrical antenna by electronic shapers of directivity characteristics with smooth scanning. Invention is based on primary coherent processing of echo signal from radio pulse with frequency modulation by means of matched filtering, formation of a plurality of scanning directivity characteristics (based on the number of narrow-band filters) with subsequent incoherent summation with delays on recirculating storage devices of a pack of different-frequency oscillations (effects from smooth scanning of directional shapers) and bringing the obtained result to the end of the echo signal.
EFFECT: considerable increase in the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at the output of the device.
