METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF DEVELOPING NEW CASES OF EXTRAINTESTINAL MANIFESTATIONS IN PATIENTS WITH MILD AND MODERATE ATTACK OF ULCERATIVE COLITIS AFTER 6 MONTHS Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC A61B1/31

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to gastroenterology, and can be used to determine probability of developing new cases of extraintestinal manifestations (EIM) in 6 months in patients with mild and moderate attack of ulcerative colitis (UC). Duration of the verified diagnosis of UC, the presence of articular syndrome, crypt deformation is assessed based on the results of the morphological examination of the colon biopsy materials at the time of prediction. Obtained results are used to calculate the probability (P) of developing new EIM in 6 months. If P is more than or equal to 0.5, a high risk of developing new cases of extraintestinal manifestations is predicted after 6 months of treatment, and if P is less than 0.5, a low risk of developing new cases of extraintestinal manifestations is predicted after 6 months of treatment.

EFFECT: method enables improving the quality of life of the patients with UC by timely correction of therapy and management of the patient by assessing the set of the most significant parameters.
