FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used to control the process during steelmaking in an arc steel-making furnace. Method employs in real time technological information of previous melts: total oxygen consumption for refining from the beginning of melting, nm3/h, temperature of exhaust gases at the cooler inlet, °C, power consumption from the beginning of melting, kW⋅h, wherein technological information of previous melts is supplied to mathematical modelling unit, in which the temperature Y of the molten metal in the bath of the arc steel-making furnace is calculated by the regression analysis method. Obtained temperature Y of molten metal is analysed by comparing it with required value of metal temperature range, according to reference information, and supply of electric power and oxygen for refining is stopped when temperature of metal reaches required value of temperature range.
EFFECT: invention increases accuracy of continuous determination of temperature of molten metal in a bath of an arc steel-making furnace.
