FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in charging scrap and iron in furnace, in their melting and in refining. Also slag forming agents at amount facilitating 3-5% contents of MgO in slag at ratio of CaO to SiO2 from 2 to 2.5 and 20-30% contents of FeO are added during melting. At the initial period of refining metal melt, when temperature rises to 1540-1550°C, there are added slag forming agents at amount facilitating 7-16% contents of MgO in slag at ratio of CaO to SiO2 from 2 to 3 and 15-25% contents of FeO. When steel reaches specified temperature and specified contents of carbon and phosphorus, it is tapped into a ladle.
EFFECT: raised resistance of refractory lining of furnace at simultaneous elimination of incidents during melting.
