FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal overload protection device. Fuse contains a U-shaped metal switching element for disconnecting the electrically conductive connection, made with possibility of soldering by means of low-temperature solder of contact legs to the contact pad of the printed circuit board so, that the contact legs of the switching element are outside the contact points of the low-power component of the protective circuit installed on the printed circuit board, and in the upper part of the switching element there is a spring contact, wherein in case of thermal overload switching element closes contact points of low-power component of protective circuit, by separating one contact leg from the printed circuit board during low-temperature solder melting and its subsequent contact with the current-carrying element to create a shunting circuit.
EFFECT: realizing the purpose of a metal fuse for surge protection devices.
