FIELD: microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microbiology and can be used to differentiate strains Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus mitis and Streptococcus oralis. Differentiation is carried out by Raman spectroscopy. Spectra are recorded using an optical probe, the spectra are normalized and smoothed, and the contribution of autofluorescence in the Raman spectrum is eliminated. Spectra are decomposed into the sum of asymmetric Gauss lines and discriminant analysis, as a result of which strains are differentiated Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus mitis and Streptococcus oralis.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of differentiating Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus mitis and Streptococcus oralis.
