FIELD: performing operations.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of hydromineral raw materials, for example, natural brines or associated water of oil deposits with high content of magnesium and calcium, with production of saturated brine of lithium chloride. NaOH is fed into formation water in a receiving tank. Thereafter, electrocoagulation is performed in the electrolysis cell with aluminium electrodes in the range of Ph 7.5-8.5 at current intensity from 3 to 60 A. Treated formation water, in which lithium double hydroxoaluminate LiCl⋅2Al(OH)₃⋅mH₂O and hydrogen are formed, is supplied to a clarification tank, in which brine is accumulated with reduced content of LiCl less than 10.1 mg/l and double hydroxoaluminate of lithium contained in it in insoluble form, which is then sent to drain. Lithium double hydroxoaluminate is washed in a storage tank for at least 10 minutes with distilled water with temperature of 100 °C, wherein volume ratio of washed composition and water with temperature of 100 °C is maintained at ratio of 1:10-1:20. Washed composition is dehydrated by passing through a screw separator; saturated lithium chloride LiCl with content of more than 50 mg/l is separated. Sorbent obtained after washing in accumulation tank – aluminium hydroxide Al(OH)₃⋅mH₂O, is sent to the beginning of the process – to the receiving tank for regeneration.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to simplify extraction of saturated brine of lithium chloride from formation waters of oil deposits.
