SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of treating at least one balance spring for equipping a clock mechanism, wherein said balance spring is made from an Nb-Ti alloy, wherein the method includes a step of steaming, referred to as climatic treatment, in the temperature range from 30 to 100 °C in an atmosphere having a relative humidity of 60 to 99%.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of treating a clock mechanism balance spring.
