SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and can be used in pharmaceutical industry. Method for quantitative determination of flavonoids in fruits and tincture of hawthorn includes a stage of sample preparation, a step for chromatography of the analysed sample by HPLC and a step for calculating flavonoids in the analysed sample: hawthorn fruit or tincture. At the stage of sample preparation, acid hydrolysis is carried out with 25% solution of hydrochloric acid of the analysed sample while heating in a water bath at temperature of 85 °C for 60 minutes, further chromatography of the test solution and 0.005% standard solution of quercetin in methanol under conditions of isocratic elution, quantitative content of total flavonoids in terms of hyperoside is calculated by external standard method.

EFFECT: high accuracy of determining flavonoids in fruits and hawthorn tincture.
