METHOD OF QUANTITATIVE DETERMINATION OF NARCISSINE IN CALENDULA FLOWERS Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61K36/28 A61K31/352

Abstract RU 2599016 C1

FIELD: pharmaceutics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical-pharmaceutical industry, particularly to a method of quantitative determination of narcissine in calendula flowers (Calendula officinalis L.). Method of quantitative determination of narcissine in calendula flowers, in which receive alcohol water extract of calendula flowers by extraction of milled calendula flowers placed in the boiling flask, with addition of 70 % ethanol when heating on the boiling water bath, at that the quantitative definition of a narcissine is carried out by method of high-effective liquid chromatography; alcohol water extraction of calendula flowers is added to liquid chromatograph "Biotronic" with UV-detector; elution of the introduced sample is carried out in conditions of reverse-phase chromatography in column "Phenomenex Luna C18(2), in gradient, three-stage mode, mixing buffer solution and methanol; UV detection is performed at wave length 254 nm; into a liquid chromatograph is entered in parallel way 20 mcl of solution of standard sample of the narcissine and it chromatographed in the same conditions; on the chromatogram of the test solution determine the area of pick of narcissine with retention time approximately 37 minutes and calculate an average area of peak along three parallel definitions; measure the area of the narcissine peak on chromatogram of solution of working standard sample (WSS) of narcissine and calculate an average area of peak along three parallel definitions; content of narcissine in calendula flowers in percentage (X) in terms of absolutely dry raw material is calculated by formula.

EFFECT: method described above is effective for quantitative determination of narcissine in calendula flowers.
