FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of removing carbon dioxide from a fluid stream containing carbon dioxide. This method involves contact of an absorbing agent with carbon dioxide. Absorbing agent used is an alkaline pulp of high-magnesia blast-furnace slag with weight fraction of MgO more than 6% and water.

EFFECT: reduction of carbon dioxide emissions during production of iron and/or steel.
