FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to coloproctology. After open haemorrhoidectomy with an ultrasonic scalpel, a perianal wound is exposed to a beam of defocused laser radiation with wavelength of 970 nm from a laser apparatus having an output power of 20 W, in pulse-periodic mode with pulse duration of 50 ms and pause duration of 100 ms. Bundle with a spot diameter of 3.5 cm is formed by means of a fixed nozzle placed at distance of 15 cm from the wound. Duration of one session is 4 minutes. Sessions are started on the following day after the operation. Sessions are performed daily for 7 days, then once a week – on 14th, 21st, 30th postoperative day.
EFFECT: method enables effective, non-invasive and painless treatment of perianal wounds following open haemorrhoidectomy with an ultrasonic scalpel, reducing the length of wound epithelisation, reducing the intensity of pain syndrome, reducing the rehabilitation period.
