FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, more specifically to oncology, and concerns methods for prediction of duration of non-metastatic period in patients with invasive breast carcinoma of non-specific type. In the method, a cell suspension obtained from freshly frozen homogenised tumour tissue is analysed by flow cytometry, in which protein markers are used to detect exclusively tumour stem cells by phenotype CD45-pan-Cytokeratin+EpCAM+CD44+CD24-N-cadherin-, and among them – the proportion of PD-L1-positive cells. At fraction PD-Ll+CD45_pan-Cytokeratin+EpCAM+CD44+CD24-N-cadherin- higher than 94.44 %, high risk of short metastatic survival rate is predicted.
EFFECT: invention increases accuracy, information content, availability and versatility of the method; method sensitivity is 80%, specificity is 83%.
