FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental oncology, and can be used to study a patient-derived xenograft (PDX) model of colorectal cancer. Tumour fragment of human colorectal cancer is sampled. Immunodeficient mice of Balb/c Nude line are anaesthetised, implantation of the above tumour fragment with size of 3 mm × 3 mm × 3 mm into an orthotopic site of anaesthetised mice is performed. Tumour node is excised when volume reaches 100 mm3, and is divided into 9 fragments: 1 fragment for histological examination, 4 fragments for molecular genetic analysis of KRAS, NRAS, BRAF gene mutation status and MSI status, 4 more fragments are placed in a cryomix tube, then the fragments are cryopreserved and stored in freezer for 90 days at a temperature of -80 °C.

EFFECT: method enables examining the PDX model of colorectal cancer by determining the tumour histotype and KRAS, NRAS, BRAF gene mutation status and MSI status.
