FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to experimental oncology. The skin and tissues of the abdominal wall are dissected for 20 mm along the axis of the body, starting from the end of the xiphoid process and retreating from the midline 5 mm towards the left hypochondrium. The end of the incision is at a distance of 25 mm from the urethra. The stomach is isolated and an incision is made in the sero-muscular layer of the stomach 3 mm long. A fragment of the tumor is sutured to the stomach at the incision site with a ligature, after which the tissues of the abdominal wall and skin are sequentially sutured with a continuous suture.
EFFECT: method allows optimal access to the body of the stomach of an immunodeficient mouse to obtain an orthotopic patient-like model of gastric cancer, which retains the characteristics characteristic of a primary neoplasm in humans, and also does not cause discomfort to the mouse after surgery.
