Abstract RU 2680972 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention is a method for determining the duration of chemotherapy of tuberculosis of respiratory organs with multiple and extensive drug resistance of MTB in children and adolescents, which consists in determining the amount of lung tissue damage in children and adolescents and, if the volume of damage to the lung tissue is no more than two segments and during chemotherapy, the cessation of the bacteria excretion is observed no more than one month from its beginning and the closure of the cavity of the lung tissue is observed, if present, no later than two months from beginning thereof, chemotherapy is performed for twelve months, namely, an intensive phase is carried out for a duration of three months using five anti-tuberculosis drugs, and the continuation phase is carried out for nine months using three anti-tuberculosis drugs, if the volume of damage to the lung tissue is more than two segments and in the process of chemotherapy, the cessation of bacteria excretion is observed no more than three months from beginning thereof and the closure of the cavity of the lung tissue is observed, if present, no later than six months from beginning thereof, chemotherapy is carried out for twelve months, namely, the intensive phase is carried out for a duration of six months using five anti-TB drugs and the follow-up phase is also carried out for six months using three anti-TB drugs.

EFFECT: using the inventive method allows to simply and effectively determine the duration of chemotherapy in the treatment of respiratory tuberculosis with multiple and extensive drug resistance of the office in children and adolescents.
