FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ultrasonic diagnostics, neurology, angiology, and can be used for diagnosing a risk of cerebral perfusion failure in comorbid patients in outpatient and hospital conditions. Degree of carotid artery stenosis is determined. Presence and degree of stenosis or the presence of haemodynamically significant blood flow acceleration within the stenosis of common and internal carotid arteries on the left and on the right, vertebral arteries on the left and on the right are assessed. Detecting signs of instability of atherosclerotic plaques of common carotid and internal carotid and vertebral arteries, presence of tortuosity and acceleration of blood flow in zone of tortuosity in internal carotid and vertebral arteries on left and right. Presence of dyslipidemia is shown by blood serum total cholesterol, low- and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and triglycerides. Expression level of antioxidant protection genes coding the transcription factor Nrf2, proteins of the NAD(P)H system of quinone oxidoreductase 1, haem oxygenase 1, glutathione-S-transferase P1 is determined. Each value is scored. Derived amount is used to assess a risk of carotid and vertebral blood flow disturbance.

EFFECT: method provides higher diagnostic accuracy ensured by estimating a set of the most significant parameters.
