FIELD: biotechnologies.

SUBSTANCE: what is presented is a method for determining the virion concentration of industrial strains of the agent of coronavirus infection in animals. Method involves amplifying a fragment of the M-gene of cDNA of the agent of coronavirus infection in dogs with using oligonucleotide primers: forward primer SEQ ID NO:1, molecular probe SEQ ID NO:2 and reverse primer SEQ ID NO:3, and determining threshold amplification cycle values using a linear function: CCCoV = -0.3004 × Ct + 9.4242.

EFFECT: method enables to reduce time of analysis of industrial raw materials in production of culture vaccines against canine coronavirus infection by determining concentration of canine coronavirus virions up to 3 hours, increase analytical, diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of analysis; higher validity of analysis.
