FIELD: molecular biology.

SUBSTANCE: what is described is a method for differentiation of the strain “Mira” of feline calicivirus from the other strains of calicivirus by analysing single-nucleotide polymorphisms of ORF1 gene. Method involves using oligonucleotide primers designed for amplifying a PCR product sized 93 bp, and SYBR Green dye, and then analysing single-nucleotide polymorphisms of ORF1 gene.

EFFECT: developed method enables higher sensitivity, specificity and reliability of the analysis.
