FIELD: medical science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and surgery, and can be used for arthroscopic mobilization of an infraspinous muscle in massive injuries of a rotator cuff. Method involves inserting an arthroscope into a posterior port, inspecting shoulder rotator tendons and determining an injury size, a degree of tendon retraction and mobility. Joint cavity, a subacromial space, an infraspinous fossa are visualized through the additional lateral port. Through the rear port, the elevator is inserted into the joint cavity, and the infraspinous muscle is mobilized under visual control from the lateral to medial edge of the scapula throughout the infraspinous fossa. Mobilization is followed by controlling the tendon mobility of the infraspinous and supraspinatus muscles.
EFFECT: method provides more effective surgical treatment of patients with massive damage to the rotator cuff and medial retraction of the tendon of the infraspinous muscle and supraspinal muscle due to arthroscopic mobilization of the infraspinous muscle tendon from the surface of the infraspinous fossa using only a standard rear port and an elevator, without damaging the muscle structure, vasculature and neural structures and maintaining considerable mobility of the infraspinous tendon.
