FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of non-destructive quality control of electrochromic articles of large area, intended for control of fluxes of light and radiant energy in residential and non-residential premises, as well as in bodies of vehicles. Method of determining operational reliability of architectural electrochromic windows consists in conducting cyclic tests, wherein optical density is recorded at maximum of optical absorption for specific electrochromic material and specific electric charge. Cyclic tests are carried out in the operating ranges of voltages and current densities until the electrooptical characteristics of the analysed samples are stabilized, after that, for the stages of transition from the initial optical state to the final state of the first and last cycles, a parameter of initial losses, a relative degradation factor, as well as operational reliability are calculated using formulas.

EFFECT: rapid and reliable determination of operational reliability of architectural electrochromic windows, possibility of assessing the effect of control methods of electrochromic products on their operational life.
