MIRROR-SYMMETRIC MEANDER LINE WITH TWO HALF-TURNS, PROTECTING AGAINST ULTRA-SHORT PULSES Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC H04B15/00

Abstract RU 2839735 C1

FIELD: radio electronics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio electronics and can be used to protect radioelectronic equipment from interfering ultra-short pulses (USP). Protecting against ultrashort pulses the mirror-symmetrical meander line consists of five in the cross section rectangular conductors on the dielectric layer, wherein the first and second conductors are located on its one side, the third one is located between them in the centre, two additional conductors are located mirror-symmetrically relative to the first and second conductors on the dielectric layer reverse side, the third conductor is located in the dielectric layer at an equal distance from the external conductors, wherein the pair of conductors is connected to each other at the far end of the line by means of a bridge, where the first conductor is connected to either the second or third or fourth conductors, respectively, in a first or second or third connection, forming a conductor that is connected at one end to the source of pulsed signals, and at the other end is connected to the protected circuit, and between the ends of the remaining conductors and the third conductor are connected to resistors, which resistance values are taken equal to the path wave resistance for all three connections, wherein appropriate conductor width, distance between conductors and dielectric thickness are set for every connection.

EFFECT: increase of attenuation by means of USP decomposition into pulses with equal values of amplitudes of the main and combination pulses.
