FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to chemical engineering, specifically to an apparatus for continuously producing paracetamol by acylation of p-aminophenol with acetic anhydride obtained in situ by pyrolysis of acetone. Plant includes a unit for producing acetic anhydride by pyrolysis of acetone, a reactor for preparing a solution of para-aminophenol, a para-aminophenol acylation reactor, a paracetamol suspension concentration reactor, a continuous-action separating device for separating solid paracetamol from the mother solution and a mother solution storage vessel, wherein ratio of working volumes of reactor for acylation of para-aminophenol and reactor for concentration of suspension of paracetamol ranges from 1:3 to 1:10.

EFFECT: provision of a plant for production of paracetamol which is stable in operation in continuous mode for a long period of time.
