FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to general and special machine building and can be used in all industries for machining coaxial mounting surfaces in body structures. Method of mounting mobile boring complex on article for boring large-size articles comprises mounting and fastening on machined article mobile boring complex in form of a tooling set. Tooling set is used for installation, which consists of two identical mounting plates, on which rotary disks with installed spherical hinges are placed one into another. Said tooling set is previously rigidly fixed on the product, the position of proper coordinate axes of said mounting plates of the tooling set is determined with a given accuracy in the design system of coordinates of the product by measuring its control surfaces using a non-contact measurement system, calculate the angles of rotation of the specified rotary disks on the mounting plates and ensure the alignment of the virtual axis of the tooling set, determined by the position of the centres of the spherical hinges, with the axis of the bored hole.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and accuracy of positioning mobile boring complex on article.
