FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to carbothermic synthesis of silicon carbide powder. Disclosed is a device for separating an aerosol and desublimating gaseous silicon monoxide, comprising a thermally insulated cylindrical body placed on a crucible of an apparatus for synthesis of silicon carbide powder, along central axis of which through hole is made to accommodate tube for pyrometric temperature control. At that, the housing by the lower part is connected by shrink fit to a disc-shaped guide vanes, on the surface of which a spiral-shaped through hole is made, and which is connected by shrink fit with a disc-shaped base of equal diameter, on inner surface of which longitudinal cavities are made along spiral and at equal distance from centre of base through gas supply holes and which by outer surface is connected by means of shrink fit with crucible, wherein in the upper part the housing comprises a desublimator in the form of a conical cavity and a disk-shaped cover of the desublimator, which has radially located lamellas on its surface and which is fixed on the tube for pyrometric temperature control so that it forms a gas outlet gap between the housing and the desublimator cover.
EFFECT: invention shortens the service maintenance time of the apparatus for synthesis of silicon carbide powder.
